Art Influences
Art influences were impacted a lot during and after The Cold War. People expressed the things they couldn't bring to words in paintings, comics, and more. We were going through some tough battles and people expressed themselves through their art. For instance, Pablo Picasso was a big impact on the art influences during the cold war. He was known for the "Dove Of Peace" which was first seen at the First International Peace Congress. The "Dove Of Peace" was something to show that there is still peace out there, even though they were going through tough times. Many paintings of Picasso represented 'propaganda' for the Communist party and the Peace Movement. A lot of the art created had a lot of dark colors to represent their feelings. The colors created a deep message in the creations because that's what was easiest to describe their feelings. These artists had a lot of anger added up from the cold war, which lead them to creating their art to explain their feelings.
